We are incredibly excited to officially announce that Grace and Barron welcomed six beautiful little bear cubs—three boys and three girls—on July 21st!
Mama Grace and her little ones are doing wonderfully, and these precious furry grandchildren continue to grow, develop, and keep us smiling every single day.
AN UNEXPECTED OPPORTUNITY FOR ONE OF OUR WAITING FAMILIES
All six of Grace and Barron's little bear cubs were spoken for shortly after their arrival. However, life happens, and one of our families recently experienced a change in circumstances that made bringing home their new furry family member at this time difficult. Together, we made the decision to roll their deposit forward to our next litter.
That has unexpectedly created an opportunity for one family already on our waiting list to welcome a baby boy from Grace and Barron's current litter.
This is not our normal practice, and we want to be very clear about why we're handling this opportunity a little differently.
Traditionally, we work our way down our waiting list one family at a time, based on the date of their original outreach and request to join our list. We respect that process because we respect every family who has patiently waited for their opportunity.
Under normal circumstances, we're happy to give each family a reasonable amount of time to respond before moving to the next person. With our little bear cubs scheduled to head home on September 12th, however, time is becoming increasingly important. We believe every family deserves adequate time to prepare themselves and their home, gather anything they may need, make arrangements, and get genuinely excited about welcoming their newest furry family member.
So, in this particular situation, we're calling an audible.
Rather than waiting two, three, or four days between individual responses as we work down the list, we're opening this opportunity to those already on our waiting list who are interested in a baby boy and are prepared to move forward.
We are not opening this opportunity to the general public ahead of our waiting families. Our existing list still comes first. We're simply asking those families who are ready, willing, and able to welcome their newest furry family member home on September 12th to reach out to us now.
WHICH BABY BOY WILL BE COMING HOME WITH YOU?
That hasn't been determined—and that's intentional.
At Mid West Rotties, our little bear cubs are much more than photographs. They are living, breathing furry family members, each developing a personality of their own. For that reason, selections are not made from pictures shortly after birth.
Our families select their little bear cubs during their individually scheduled pickup appointments, in the order reservation deposits were received. With this opportunity becoming available later in the process, the family joining us will be welcoming the remaining baby boy after the families ahead in the selection order have made their choices.
We don't look at that as receiving "the one that's left."
After decades of raising Rottweilers and watching our furry grandchildren become part of families, we've seen something remarkable time and time again: somehow, each little bear cub seems to find the family they were meant to go home with. It's one of the things we've grown to love most about our process.
Pickup day will be September 12th. Approximately one week beforehand, we will personally reach out to each family with their individual pickup window. We schedule families separately so everyone has dedicated time with us, without feeling rushed or having multiple families making selections at the same time.
If you're already on our waiting list for a baby boy—including those we may have previously reached out to but haven't heard back from—and you're ready to welcome your newest furry family member on September 12th, please reach out to us immediately.
Sometimes life changes plans, and sometimes those changes unexpectedly create an opportunity for another family. We want to handle both with the same respect and consideration we would hope to receive ourselves.
We're excited to see which family this little blessing was meant to find and to welcome another family into our extended MWR family.
